Description
This course designed to provide delegates with the knowledge and skills required to conduct effective briefings and debriefings and produce action plans. These principles can be adapted to a wide range of situations enabling delegates to make use of them throughout their organisations.
Course Author and Presenters
The course has been developed in partnership between The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust and NORMIT. They have a wide range of experience in Emergency Management and Business Continuity. All the trainers are accredited and have considerable experience of working with private and public sector organisations delivering a vast range of training and exercise programmes.

- The importance of Information Management
- What to include in an effective briefing using a nine step process
- An opportunity to prepare and deliver a briefing
- Types of debriefing and when they should be held
- A three step Reflective Debriefing process – Explore – Reflect – Action
- How to lead a reflective Debriefing
- An opportunity to prepare and manage a Reflective Debriefing
- Preparation of a reflective Debriefing Summary Report and Action Plan.

One day.
EPS Accreditation
This course is endorsed by the Emergency Planning Society (EPS). Delegates on the course are entitled to apply for 12 months Associate Membership of the EPS and will be able to claim up to three CPD points.

NORMIT Members - £150 per delegate
Non Members - £400 per delegate
