Description
Any organisation may be disrupted by an emergency whether it originates on their premises or comes from off site. The ability of an organisation to cope will depend to a large extent on the emergency management skills and knowledge of its staff and the planning, training and exercising that has taken place. This course will develop the knowledge to coordinate preparedness and manage the response to an emergency.
Aim
To enhance delegates knowledge and skills in implementing Emergency Risk Treatment Strategies for their organisation.

- Principles of Operational Management
- Roles and Functions in an Emergency Operations Centre
- Equipment needed for an Emergency Operations Centre
- Information and Resource Management Systems
- Supporting and maintaining the Emergency Operations Centre
- Coordinating the Recovery process for your organisation
Duration
The duration of the course is one day and runs from 0900hrs to 1700hrs
Guidance for Attendance
This course is designed for those who are required to work in, or manage, Emergency Operation Centres. It is also appropriate for those who coordinate the training and development of staff who work in Emergency Operation Centres. Delegates are assumed to have some background knowledge of Emergency Risk Management.
Emergency Planning Society Membership
This course is endorsed by the Emergency Planning Society (EPS). Delegates on the course are entitled to apply for 12 months Associate Membership of the EPS and will be able to claim up to three CPD points.

Non Members - £400 per delegate
