Description
The non-statutory guidance accompanying the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 explains that "A comprehensive record should be kept of all events, decisions, reasoning behind key decisions and actions taken. Each organisation should maintain its own records....."
The course is aimed at anyone from an organisation who may be expected to respond to an incident and therefore will be required to maintain a log of events, decisions and actions.
This course is endorsed by the Emergency Planning Society (EPS). Delegates on the course are entitled to apply for 12 months Associate Membership of the EPS and will be able to claim up to three CPD points.
Course Author and Presenters
The course was developed by The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust and has its emphasis on practical application which is underpinned by sound theoretical knowledge. It has been delivered by the Trust on a number of occasions.
As part of ongoing partnership working NORMIT will be involved with the delivery of the training, we will be able to amend the content slightly to suit non-emergency services staff although the underpinning principles will remain unchanged.
All the trainers have a wide range of experience in Emergency Management and Business Continuity. All have considerable experience of working with private and public sector organisations delivering a range of training and exercise programmes.
By the end of the course delegates will be able to:
